Living A New Page

Hello. It’s been awhile after the last post.

I am now having my study in Guangzhou, China. You have no idea how much I have been wanting to post many many things and share stories in this blog. Unfortunately, due to a few reasons. I have to calm myself down for sharing you my anxiety, until the next couple of months. 🙂

However, let me share you a brief story about the new page which I am living in, now.

It is really an exciting new life to enjoy in this country. Food doesn’t fit my stomach that much, but not the weather and the environment. I live in one of the best places in this city which is surrounded by trees and good pedestrian walks all over the area. This has paid back the upset which I have for the food.

We had a winter weeks ago and the sun is starting to replace the cold wind these two days (which means that we have to prepare ourselves against the bugs and mosquitos attack).

Last but not least, the Chinese itself. Yes, I am taking a Chinese class. Two weeks studying has opened my eyes about how great this language is. Each word has a magnificent philosophy and a profound historical story which are so interested to learn. The more I know, the more I feel that I am making a right move, to learn this language in its homeland. All I wish is to make a good progress in Chinese and to witness more interesting things in this great country while I am here.

This is all I can tell you by now. See you soon.

🙂

Have a great time over there Mbak Vinny! I’m curious about the language related story since I learned a bit Japanese that the written characters root from China. The stories behind the characters are indeed fascinating!

Both Chinese and Japanese have many similar characters which are read in a different way. This is also the thing that I’ve just known from a friend here. Yes culture is really a nice thing to observe. Thank you, Mas Dani! :))

    Wow, best wishes for you!
I absoluely agree with the part that the best place to learn a language is on its homeland. In my opinion, a language is formed as a combination of the people and the land in which they lived. By learning it in its homeland, I think we could “sense” the language, not just learning it by textbooks :hehe.
I’m looking forward to your other stories :)).
